INSTALATION

The boards of TENAPORS CERAMIC system can be built-in on the surface with sufficient load carrying capacity, for example, the surface of reinforced concrete, ceramsite concrete, aerated concrete, perforated brick, plastered masonry and wooden surface.

Preparation stage:

In order TENAPORS CERAMIC finishing boards would perform their functions;the attention should be paid to the preparation of surface.

Before staring the preparation stage, the workers should find out everything about the quality of the wall surface. The poor quality finishing layers should be removed. The lugs of the walls should be made even, because they might hinder the fixing of boards to the walls. The verticality of the wall is verified by means of hand level. The particularly uneven surface should be made even either by additional plastering layer or by means of distancers (for example, by the strips of OSB boards).

The fitting up of system boards should be started from one corner of the wall with the corner-board (C-type). The horizontal level is ensured by means of plinth beads, which provide the necessary initial load carrying capacity (they are offered by the manufacturer – SIA “TENAPORS”). In the buildings under construction, if within the designing stage there had been foreseen the necessary support area for the support of boards, the boards of TENAPORS CERAMIC system can be supported by the foundation of the building.

The fitting up of system boards should be started from one corner of the wall with the corner-board (C-type). The horizontal level is ensured by means of plinth beads, which provide the necessary initial load carrying capacity.
After the fixation of corner-board, the next boards to be fixed to the wall are of L- and H-type. When beginning the fixation of L-type boards, the fixation of the next longitudinal layer should be started with H-type board to avoid the continuous vertical joint of boards. The boards should be pressed next to each other closely, in order to avoid gaps between them.
The boards should be pressed next to each other closely, in order to avoid gaps between them.
Each board should be fixed to the wall by dowels or rust-resisting screws in conformity with the instruction of board fixation. For the fixation of boards, the dowels of 8mm diameter are used. The length of fastening should correspond to the thickness of board: + 40mm in the concrete wall + 60mm in the light concrete wall (aerated concrete, ceramsite concrete, ceramic).
In order to cut the boards in conformity with the necessary size, the workers should use the diamond cutting disc for cutting of ceramic tiles.
A saw or a knife shoud be used for cutting polystyrene.
Where the finishing ceramic tiles are ensured, the surface of the polystyrene is leveled by means of “scraper” – by scraping off the uneven places of polystyrene. The bonding mortar is applied to the prepared place, and the finishing ceramic tile is pushed into the bonding mortar. In order to prevent the displacement of tile during the hardening of binding mortar, the ceramic tile should be fixed, for instance, with nails.
In order to cover the corners of openings, the ceramic tiles are used, which are fixed with the mineral mortar or using decorative plaster rendering. The openings are glued over with polystyrene – the minimum thickness of polystyrene is 25 mm. All the places of bonds in the area of opening are additionally caulked with hermetic material.
After the fitting up of tiles, the joints are pointed. For this purpose special joint mortar is used (for example, Ceresit CT 32), which is envisaged for wide joints. The mortar is prepared in conformity with the instruction provided by the manufacturer. First of all, the vertical joints are pointed, then – the longitudinal ones.
Before pointing, the joints should be cleaned from dirt and dust by water or air spurt. For pointing of 1m2 of wall you will need about 3.0kg of prepared mortar.
